Dear High-Achieving Sister,
I know you. Even if we have never met in a clinical office, I know your rhythm.
You are the one who solves the crisis before anyone else realizes things are off. You are dependable, intelligent, emotionally perceptive, and resourceful. When people talk about you, they use words like “superwoman,” “powerhouse,” and “unshakable.”
“You have spent so many years being responsible for everyone else’s peace that you haven’t had the bandwidth to ask what delights you.”
I created Dear Burned Out Black Girl because I got tired of seeing brilliant, healed Black women still trapped in functional misery. You do not need another motivational speech. You need precision, honest language, and a framework for self-loyalty that doesn’t demand you blow your entire life up just to breathe.
With warmth, clarity, and fierce loyalty to your peace,
Tyra Steverson, LCPC, LPC

Recognition → Mismatch → Tyra’s Lens → Possibility → Invitation
We never use manipulative marketing or fear-based pressure. Every step is an invitation into self-loyalty.
1. Recognition
Putting language to what high-achieving Black women have been carrying in silence for years—without clinical jargon or motivational fluff.
2. The Mismatch
Identifying the silent gap between being healed enough to function and being free enough to actually enjoy your daily life.
3. Tyra’s Lens
Drawing from 10+ years of clinical insight: Processing Pain to Pursue Purpose and deconstructing the myth of effortless endurance.
4. Possibility
Practicing somatic safety, unapologetic boundaries, and reclaiming your personal desire without needing permission.
5. The Invitation
Gentle entry into The Healing Hive ecosystem—weekly Substack essays, community gatherings, courses, and coaching.
